GHI:
The new PPO plans from GHI have been available
since late 2000. Do not overlook this true
PPO throughout New York State. Co-pays of
$5, $10, $15 or $20 are available with out-of-network
deductibles of $500, $750 or $1,000. Rates
are available in either two or four tier
and are priced according to region, such
as Downstate, Mid-Hudson, etc. Please remember
that the full GHI PPO network includes doctors
and hospitals in Florida, Arizona, Nevada
and other areas where New Yorkers may have
second homes and travel. Pricing is extremely
competitive.
CIGNA:
Keep in mind CIGNA Healthcare's HMO programs.
The $20 co-pay plan with an Rx card of 10/20/40
is only $216.27 per single in the downstate
area. The CIGNA HMO program is one of the
few plans that currently can be written
without an RX card, this would bring the
single rate to only $178.95 with a Family
rate of $486.13.
Horizon
Healthcare:
Horizon Healthcare has a new network available
called the VISTA network. This is a growing
network in New York State with rates lower
than the current Multiplan program. The
VISTA network is available as a PPO, EPO
and HMO. Please note that all Horizon products
pay a 5% commission to the agent with the
exception of the VISTA HMO which is only
3%.
